A few things I wish id have spent a bit more time on but had other commitments.
To clarify, the launch date for GeForce GTX 480 and GTX 470 is March 26.
Octo the 295 dont support DX11, and i dont think it ever will. Thats the main reason im going to switch to ATI, but im waiting for the fermi release to see what that does for the prices.
This is no arguement on Nvidia or ATI, ive been running Nvidia's for years but am thinking of switching.
Octo if you read my post properly youd see I linked to a 5970 review
Just google for the reviews. Â http://www.guru3d.com/article/radeon-hd-5970-review-test/12
Your statement we where discussing 5850 & 5870', was sort of tru, I just said that the 285/295 are equivalent to the 5850/5870 performance wise.
The review i linked to you can clearly see the 5970 beats everything at a half decent res. The 295 is still a great card but tbh I want the dx11 eye candy. Saying that my 280GTX is still running nice
Quote:
Now the Radeon HD 5970 without doubt is the fastest card on the planet. I however was surprised how well NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 295 still can keep up, but obviously the 5970 is superior. NVIDIA did their homework when they released the GTX 295 a year ago. Seen from a larger point of view, overall and especially with the newer game titles, the Radeon HD 5970 starts to dominate. And with future game titles, things will only get better
Its not that bad, and tbh im prepared to put up with the various issues as im bored of MW2, its nice to have something new to switch too even if it is beta

Postman came yesterday wohoo. Delivered my new Lian Li Armorsuit PC50-WB & the Corsair H50-1.
Original Case was a Lian Li PC60 about 4years old, still looking well though.
Eventually decided on using the Noctua NF-P12 Fans in Push-Pull config as an intake.
2 x 140mm top Exhausts 1 x 120mm rear Exhaust 1 x 120mm front Intake 2 x 120mm Intake and CPU Cooler.
Had to use a bit of creative thinking to mount the H50-1, but its well secure, although im not entirelly happy with it atm.
Just need to finish it off with a couple of Lian Li Stealth Bezels, and some internal lighting.
Temps have dropped from 40*c idle & 84*c max load. to 34*c idle and 72*c max load. I also used to leave the side panel off my PC60 too. Noise wise shes no louded than my old case.
